IATI Reporting Connector available for ProjectConnect
GOUDA, NL – Matthat Software, market leader in Project Management solutions for NGO’s, is proud to announce general availability of the IATI Reporting Connector. This Connector is developed in cooperation with 6 organizations, amongst these Simavi, Save a Child, SOMO and Liliane Foundation.
IATI (International Aid Transparency Initiative) is a global open data platform, for NGO’s to publish data about projects that are financed by public or private funds. Reported data includes information about the project- and partner structure, financial data as well as data about planned and actual results.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in the Netherlands promotes the IATI standard, by enforcing all strategic partners, receiving government subsidies, to publish project data at the IATI platform. Therefore, the MFA issued a Guidelines document, to help NGO’s interpreting and using the IATI standard.
Several of Matthat Software’s customers are receiving funds from the MFA and therefore have to upload project data from ProjectConnect (the Project Management web-portal) into IATI. Until now, this could only be done manually. With the availability of the Connector, IATI reporting is now integral part of the project management cycle, preventing manual extra work to be done.
The IATI Reporting Connector enables a controlled and configurable upload of project data. Per project, partner and country can be configured what and how to be included in IATI Reports. Furthermore, several anonymization functions are supported, to protect partners, donors and projects in specific countries.
Pelle Aardema, IATI expert, adds: “Organizations can now publish to IATI with ‘one push of a button’, directly from the project management system and compliant with MFA IATI Guidelines. Very convenient and safe, because IATI publishing is now a simple step in the process. It significantly decrease manual efforts and prevents errors that comes with manual work”.
